I Went to a Arita signing this weekend in London. He was doing personalised signings with your name and his on whatever you presented him with. As it was personalised signing i thought as well as getting the standards signed id make a custom arita card just for myself and get him to sign it which he did.
Its Basically a blank back bit of card with his face on it trading card size. If i was to send it off to PSA would i be able to have it slabbed and authenticated as a legit signed card. i plan on getting them all slabbed but because its not a actual trading card would they reject it?
I got pictures of him signing it which could be sent as proof of signing. I don’t know how the PSA/DNA grading process works to be honest.
Its just has my name and his name in kanji along with his face printed on it.
The card itself has Square cut corners with a card stock back as i wanted it to be noticeable that its not an actual pokemon card.
Just purely something he could sign.
have been meaning to send you a message, it was a pleasure to meet you this weekend (I’m Marcus) and see the neat stuff you got signed!
I wonder if it could be done as a custom encapsulation with authentification? But anyway, if you can upload the image to imgur and then copy the BBC (or BCC) link then you can just paste it into the text and it’ll display the image when posted
Wow, that’s a very awesome custom template you used there, @rockpaperscizor . It looks very akin a real TCG card unlike the graded example I provided, so I think it shouldn’t be a problem having the autograph graded.
This was a fun idea! I’m not surprised he laughed, a bit different I imagine to the usual stuff he signs.
I don’t see why PSA wouldn’t grade just the auto only?
Did you get much chance to talk to him? He seemed pretty busy when I was there!
