Hi, does anyone know at what weight a base set long pack is considered “heavy?” I see people selling them, and see a range.
I understand there’s not a guarantee, but what’s the consensus?
Thanks!

In general, for base set packs, light is around 20.8 grams and heavy is about 21.2 grams. With the heavy ebay listings, there’s no guarantee that you’re not seeing a little 0.4g piece of paper between the pack and the scale, so of course exercise caution when buying these. There’s also other considerations - did the seller open similar heavy packs from the same box and notice that the cards were off center? or had print lines on the holo? Or has this pack been loose for a long time and the cards inside are banged up a bit? Generally speaking, buying loose packs, heavy or not, is at the riskier end of the spectrum when it comes to this hobby, and is very often a losing proposition.
I think he’s mainly asking about the rack packs (long packs)
Yes, I’m looking for the long pack weights. I have 3 that I believe are heavy. 21.21g, 21.23g, and 21.19g.
Also, a little research I’ve done: short crimp regular base set unlimited packs weigh, almost invariably, .86g. and long packs weigh 1.00g. So, this should help some people decide if their long packs are “heavy.”
About to open three heavy long packs. Pretty excited!
