ebay buyer wants to return PSA graded card

I listed the card as used. and provided pictures of the front and back of the card.
The buyer says the case was scratched which I think it may have scratches that I did not declare in the listing.
he showed me pictures that shows indeed showing scratches on the back of the case.

I allowed the seller to return the item and accepted the return request.

What do I need to watch out for when the buyer returns the item?

never had a buyer request a return so I’m worried

I purchased a return label through ebay for them.

If it’s PSA Graded, the only thing I would make sure is that it’s the same serial number as the one you sold. Other than that be nice to the buyer-(refund the money as soon as you get your card back)-to avoid a neg/neutral feedback :slightly_frowning_face:

If you allowed the seller to return the item then you shouldn’t worry at all. You agreed with what they said.

It’s near impossible for them to switch out the card for a lesser graded one. Plus they should sent the item back with the same protection around it.

what if they don’t?

The only thing that matters is you get the exact item back in the exact condition

You really don’t need to look out for anything. It was your card and you have pictures of it. You’ll know if it’s the same card right away.

When the buyer requested a refund, I accepted the refund claim and paid for the return shipping label.
Is the buyer still able to leave negative feedback?

Yes. But why would they? You did everything as a seller correctly. You accepted a return, paid for shipping and gave a full refund. That’s pretty positive.

And even if they do you can just chat to eBay and reverse it. You are over thinking the worst here. Relax

You don’t need to watch for anything. Mostly because there’s no point. There’s nothing you can do if something goes wrong anyways. eBay has wonderful buyer protection and no seller protection. The buyer can purchase a graded card from you, initiate a return, and send back a pair of used gym socks and there’s pretty much nothing you can do about it.

If they leave unreasonable feedback you can take it up with eBay, so that’s not too much of an issue.

I was really bummed out when I received a PSA card that had huge scratches not visible in the photos. Wish the seller had shown them like you did.

Didn’t wanna bother with a return so I just chalked it up as a card that I would have to send it to be re-cased, kinda happy about those new PSA cases now… Even better the card looks flawless so it might even go ten if i want to gamble and have them re grade.

Update: The buyer returned a fake card taped to cardboard.
I recorded myself opening the package and also took pictures.
I have asked ebay to step in

Buyers name is darkstarexe

That is absolutely crazy. I hope ebay works with you and gets things resolved in your favor. I cannot believe that someone would do something so low.

He’s already left 4 or 5 negatives in the last 6 months.

Call Ebay

Just counted and he’s left 11 negatives and 1 neutral in the past 6 months, let ebay know that

I’m counting 11 negative feedbacks in the last 6 months. Also seems to have left a lot “Not received, refunded.” feedbacks. Serial scammer?

Yes. Ebay told me to call back during office hours. Glad I recorded everything.
I knew something was fishy when the package he sent me didnt feel too thick given it should be a PSA card

That’s simply awful, no idea why someone wants to constantly waste their and seller’s time by leaving bad feedbacks.

How expensive is the PSA card you sent to buyer?

$125.

Just looking at this, as well as his history, maybe the loser should be banned by all of us.

What an awful experience. I can’t believe that. I’d like to know the buyer’s address so if he makes a new account I know not to send anything his way. DM me if you aren’t comfortable posting it publicly. Everyone needs to be aware of this person.
