Based on the booster pack art, I’m expecting only 3 of the archetypes will take the SAR Pokémon ex slots:
First the Feraligatr Illustration Contest Promo, now the set with Ethans Pokemon - great time for a Johto enjoyer. I am just glad that they didn’t add a Hoenn protagonist as well because then I would really have to focus on a modern set and this would hurt my wallet. Still, love this and this is certainly way more my set than Battle Partners.

Seriously though, I’m loving these so much. Trainer’s pokemon were always my absolute favorite growing up, and it makes me so happy to see them introduced for another generation of young (and older!) fans.
Oh nice, a Pichu! For being the pre-evolved form of a Pokémon that gets a new release every few days, it gets a lacking amount of cards itself, so it’s always great to see a new one pop up.
Could Ethan’s rival Silver (Giovanni’s son) play a role in this set theme?
Will The Glory of Team Rocket be focusing on the HeartGold & SoulSilver version of Team Rocket?
Alternatively, since Lillie is in Battle Partners, will The Glory of Team Rocket also focus on the Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon version of Team Rocket i.e. Rainbow Rocket? @DragonClasher

If there are 6 [SR] Pokémon ex and 3 [SR] Supporters in this set, there is a potential 4th SAR slot before SAR Ethan’s Ho-Oh ex for a regular Pokémon ex - 085/063 [Grass type]
I agree with you! It is a nice artwork for sure, but it is very mellow and lacking flare compared to what I would have hoped for. Still glad to see Ho-oh get some love!
