Since my knowledge with this is limited I’d like others opinions.
The below are 1st Ed Team Rockets then the 4 packs below that are 1st Ed Gyms.
My question is what do those weights mean, Holo wise?
@garyis2000, I thought you opened some of the rocket packs and pulled 2 holos Gary?
My limited experience with Rocket packs is that the weights are not super different from light and heavy. Not like Base Set through Fossil anyway. If you did pull holos, then I would argue 2050+ may be heavy with a holo. You have 5 in that category, which seems on target with 1/3 packs having a holo considering you had 22 packs and pulled 2 holos already.
I would assume the heaviest gym pack may have a holo, but 4 packs is not enough to be very sure. Still, 1/4 packs having a holo would make sense from a probability stand point…

Yeah. 2 out of 3 were holo. That just confirmed to me they weren’t weighed. But I didn’t know they were less accurate than the others if weighed.
@garyis2000, Yea I’ve seen people have trouble weighing out all the heavy packs from Team rocket box and have some light and heavy packs mixed. I personally have had a tough time with them and don’t think someone should buy them based on what a seller says exactly. It’s just not a huge enough difference especially if you don’t have a full box where top 12 would ideally be heavy.
I would not trust a pack as heavy for sure unless it was base through fossil and even then it can have a decent range for what is considered heavy. Just my opinion though. It would suck to buy a heavy pack and not pull a holo…
Unfortunately I think it all depends on the box. I bought 5 “heavy” fossil packs from someone last year that were all 21.19g-21.25g. This should be heavy. I opened the 21.19 and it was a non holo, opened the 21.25 and it was also a non holo. I just sold the last 3 as light packs then and moved on.
Isn’t that interesting. You see my numbers above. 2 out of 3 were holos lol.
No kidding! I was just getting back into collecting then so I verified with TCAgaming that I wasn’t crazy and they should have had holos. Also had a Jungle pack at 21.15 not have holo as well. Just my luck! At the end of the day, you cant know for 100% sure that you’ll have a heavy unless you open the box yourself. (Though your odds are higher if you have above 21 grams I guess haha).
