Are you planning on attending the Pokemon World Championships in Honolulu Hawaii on Aug 16-18, 2024? If you are, the time is finally here for you to register for a Spectator’s pass if you aren’t actively participating in anything.
Simply go to this link: Worlds 2024 Registration Info and under spectators, click the “Add your name to the interest list.” You will need to register and add your name to the list from May 29, 2024 to June 9, 2024 (PDT) in order to be in the random lottery to get a pass. If you are randomly selected, you will be notified by email starting on the week of June 10th and you will have 48 hours to complete your purchase.
Once again, it appears to be a lottery system to get passes. Winners can buy 2 passes! The prices of the different passes are:
Single Day Spectator Passes – $14.99 USD (includes tax)
Multi-Day Passes - $39.99 USD (includes tax)
Children under the age of 5 do not require a pass to attend.
Qualified, invited competitors do not have a registration fee. Competitors who RSVP and participate in Honolulu will receive a complimentary competitor pass and two complimentary spectator passes.
Badges will be available for pickup starting on Thursday Aug 15. Below are some screenshots of the website. Hope to see some you folks at Worlds!
I don’t plan on going, but is it useful for me to sign up for the lottery to give the spectator pass to another member if I’m selected (are they transferrable)? Or do the people that want to go generally able to get a pass one way or another?
I think you have to be there in person to actually pick up the badge. But for those who are going solo and win a slot are able to purchase two badges, and hand over the second badge to someone else.
I signed up for all passes. My impression was that multi-day passes will be pulled first until all have been allocated, then single day passes will be selected.
Oh, I see! I must have misread it originally, I thought we could only sign up for one pass-type. In that case, I will probably go back to sign up for Sat or Sun single day pass types as well.
ETA: oops, I don’t think I can change my submission. for anyone who hasn’t signed up yet, don’t do what I did lol.
Thanks for confirming! I knew I remembered reading this and was looking for it but had trouble relocating it.
@lookaclara Oh no! Hopefully you get selected so it’s a non-issue! I’m sure we can all collaborate by sharing passes to make sure everyone gets in anyways.
This will work the same as last year’s sharing sheet - input your name and if you won and what type of pass you won. If you lost feel free to input that as well (for the sake of data). It is up to E4 folks to coordinate sharing of these passes themselves (I will not be coordinating this).
Best of luck and hope to see as many of you at the venue as possible!

I tried adding my name to the list in the next available rows on that Google doc, but it seems it can’t be edited as of right now. Is it locked for Some reason? Also, it looks like one user, pfm says they won already.
I thought the drawing / confirmation emails were going out the week of June 10th? People are already getting them? I haven’t heard of anyone else getting any notice
As for why @pfm indicated he had won already my best guess is he got a VIP pass from the Yokohama event which some folks got for winning a meet-up with Ishihara but him leaving early. If not that then I’m unsure.
