Is 130point.com not working for anyone else? Any other sites still up that show the eBay best offer accepted price? I know you can (or used to be able to) search for the tax exclusive price on the web page info
Terapeak subs + they’ve said publicly somewhere when they made their policy change regarding visible BO prices (I forget where) that they don’t like them being shown, because they’re not a true indication of market price and don’t want people referencing best offer prices. Basically they think accepted BO’s are usually a floor price and people that accept low offers are motivated sellers - they don’t want things selling for less on eBay because it means less fees aka less revenue so they don’t show the accepted offer because they don’t want people listing or offering based on a low sale price.
I always hate it when buyers try and reference last sold prices when making an offer. My reply is typically “well why didn’t you buy that copy then”?
maybe they didn’t see it in time? i don’t understand the issue with someone referencing a comp for the same item… you can reply and say you won’t sell it at that price
I think I found another way to see true sold prices (someone correct me if this has been debunked):
go to the original listing of the item that sold via best offer, view page source code, and ctrl+f the phrase “taxExclusivePrice”. seems to work for the examples I’ve tested it on
@kpod
I do this often and in most cases it works very well, at least seller sees I’ve done done some research before throwing offer on the table.
About 130point, yesterday I was able to do couple successful searches for sold items before the error messages returned and that’s still the current situation.
eBay makes changes to their page code pretty frequently meaning tools like this need time to adjust every now and then.
I’d happily use Terapeak but unfortunately it’s the most poorly implemented feature ever: Their documentation on the eBay UK website says any business seller with a basic shop plan has access to it, however after clicking through about 6 different pages you finally get to an area on the eBay US website which says it’s a $12/month subscription… which I’m not able to access because I’m not a business seller on the US eBay website, only the UK one.
Yeah going on your computer and doing the view page source and ctrl f taxexclusive works fine, just takes extra time. Anyone know if you can somehow do this on an iPhone? I can’t figure it out in safari or chrome browser for iPhone but perhaps there is a workaround or something that I’m missing. Thanks in advance if anyone figures it out.
I guess I know why it was not working. Taxexclusiveprice just shows the binprice now on the source code. You know need to search for convertedBinPrice on the source code, which is probably why 130point was not working for a little while.
