1986 Fleer Michael Jordan Rookie Card

Hey all, I am looking for some information on the 86 Fleer Jordan RC. I know sports, but have next to zero knowledge about vintage sports trading cards.

If there is anyone here who knows the history of it, or can point me in the right direction via reliable YouTube videos/channels or Articles on this card, I’d greatly appreciate it.

Is it similar to Base Set, where it has slowly risen in price, and is not likely to drop in price, or has it seen large rapid dips and growths? Any info, general or specific, on sports cards/this particular card is welcome!

PS: Also, hypothetically say I have an ungraded Mint version of the card. Is PSA the route to go when grading, like in pokemon, or should I use another like BGS?

This might help a bit

This was very helpful, thank you

So crazy that even with 30,000 graded it still demands such high prices…shows how truly rare some of our Pokemon cards are in comparison.

(Btw not knocking the card at all, I actually love the 86 Jordan and want one myself)

I imagine that number is even higher, taking Beckett graded cards into account lol

Demand + higher consumer income = higher average price.

Brent makes some good points talking about the card in this overview, there are overviews from previous blocks where he makes other good points regarding it.
