1st edition base set blisters price?

Wondering what these are going for around now with the price increase in sealed 1st ed base and psa cards?

Tons of reseals out there that you may not be able to detect:(

Depends on the art, a Charizard recently sold for 7k, the others might be a bit cheaper. As Gary said there is a danger of reseals but they are easy to detect if you know the subject matter. It’s like resealed boosters at this point, if you have no idea than you will get burned.

How do you tell it’s resealed?

Sometimes you cant. The glue on blisters can come off on its own, leaving no evidence.

You can as I suspect you don´t have access to the actual glue and the process used back in the day - if you don´t know how the real thing actually looks you just shouldn´t handle them. It´s the same with the 1st ed box or any other item requiring specific knowledge.

You’re not answering the question, you’re just claiming to have the specific knowledge without providing any explanation of the process/indicators of tampering. Also chastising someone because you claim they don’t have the knowledge that you have is not a good look.

I won´t provide any explanation publicly. As with everything, there is things you can look for that are clear indicators. Some of them may be faked, but in summary getting them all exactly right is almost impossible. It´s the same with Pateks, Base 1st boxes or numismatics. I´m not trying to “chastise” anyone here, but stating that it is not possible to detect reseals is just blatantly wrong.

Yeah I hear you and I understand why you aren’t publicly stating it. From an outside perspective it came across a little aggressive, that’s all. Ultimately this is not a dick wielding contest, so if you know something but don’t want to share, maybe just keep that quiet

It was never my intention to come off agressive, if anyone feels offended I apologize. I just wanted to state that there are ways to confirm 99% accurately, as I wouldn´t like it that a comment like the above stands uncommented.

Good to know, hopefully potential buyers will heed this advice wisely.

How accurate is the information you have of one selling for 7k?

I bought the one off the last HA auction for around $5500 after fees shipping taxes etc. I feel like it was a strong buy especially with base unlimited boxes ticket up recently. After that 1st ed Base Box went for $200k I kissed that dream goodbye. Blisters seemed like a good pivot but I’m going to guess that a lot of people have the same idea. If anyone wants to sell under $7k hit me up… but I doubt it haha

It was an ebay sale fairly recently, I´ll look for it in the evening!

I think that was mine. It was a scam by someone operating two accounts and paying by an e cheque that bounced. So not an actual sale.

It was listed in AUD, right? Oh wow, good to know! It´s a shame that even with extensions like wc/flippertools you can not accurately tell if something actually sold. Anyways, there is this listing up: www.ebay.com/itm/283968427557 which seems to be pretty good value considering that it´s obo. Other than that only one for 9.5k as far as I can see. In the end, the price is also tied to the reliability of the actual source and the continent you´re transacting on.
