Hey; yeah I did, but there seems to be only one 1st edition box on eBay presently going for $5.6k, which is why I was unsure if that was an accurate price or whether the seller is simply over-inflating. In March 31, a seller sold one for 5k (though I’m unsure whether he just cancelled the listing)
That’s what they’re trying to be sold for. If you want to purchase one then I would message TCA gaming from the first link and see if he will work with you. He’s on the forum
@bartallen2 4 are listed between $4.45k and $5.7k. If you want to buy a box right now without haggling this is what you’d have to pay. 2 including the lowest priced include BO option so you can likely get it a bit cheaper. Boxes vary in condition.
Further, two have publicly sold on eBay this year for $4,050 (via watchcount lookup on the $5k obo box sold) and $3.38k BIN. This is what the last two public buyers have paid. They varied in condition.
This is all the verifiable data anyone has. There is no one single price for anything Pokemon as nothing in Pokemon is fungible especially something like booster boxes which can vary in condition a fair bit. Graded cards are a bit more fungible, but still not completely. All you can do is see what is on the market and the recent data points provided by market sales. Anything further is guesswork. “Current price” means something entirely different if you own one and are looking to sell vs. if you are out to buy one and it varies on timeline for either of those actions too.
Well said, and reiterating that prices are so dependent on condition. The only way to get a steady price even as Scott has mentioned is if its liquid where that card or box is constantly selling (ie Fossil/Jungle Booster boxes have a lot more quantifiable data but doesn’t make it firm). A collector is going to pay w/e he/she wants to pay. I feel like Neo Rev and Destiny don’t come up as often which can also drive prices higher unlike other booster boxes but thats just pure speculation.
