Interesting, as the person who bought the last one in auction for $54,200 was a young “youtube personality” from the UK… After running the barcode numbers from that initial auction, and the one on this box… It seems that it is the same box
ISBN 1 - 57530 - 785 - 5 or am i trippin?
Correct me if I’m wrong but I thought the first edition boxes only had the green wing charizard on the side? He’s displaying a blue wing charizard in the pictures. Also looks like a change of background in the pictures, seems a little suspicious to me. I did a Google search image and found the picture of this box was on pintrest.
How is this even being debated right now??? It’s obviously yet another 1st Ed. Base Set Box attempted scam. That first picture of the booster box has been passed around so much that even someone with a legit booster box who uses that picture is going to have suspicion! LOL And then take a look at the second and third picture - all those country codes on the bottom and WotC-Wrapping on a 1st Ed. Base Booster Box? Yeah, something just doesn’t add up there. STAY AWAY!
Wasn’t this seller involved in previous fraudulent 1st ed. box listings? I feel like I’ve seen the name appear before in the same context with the offsite email address?
A legitimate seller will use their own photos. Stay away.
Someone expecting to sell a $50,000+ box is going to take better photos. This is just some idiot attempting to scam, and a horrible scam at that! Seller is probably a clueless 14-15 year old that has an ebay account thinking they’ll pull a fast one
I’ve sent this seller a message yesterday, when there was only the first pictured posted, requesting for more pictures of all the sides and a background history… Until now, just silence.
Anyone selling such an item and only accepting a small pool of bidders it would be a weird choice. On top of that the mismatching photos are a big give away for any serious bidder.
Obviously the winning bid will have a disappointment
