There seems to be a few eBay’ers who are selling 1st edition Team Rocket boxes for nigh-$8k?

Conversely there are three individuals who are selling them for between $3.2 - $4.5k; but how can $8k be justified? At such - what seems to be - a quantum leap.

Certainly not as a single sales point is merely more than a first indicator. To create a new standard, multiple valid sales from different sources have to occur. I can sell a buddy of mine a caterpie for 1,000,000 - that doesn´t make it a legit sale neither a new standard.

In my opinion even if it is marked as sold on eBay or something, I can`t believe this is a real trade. I mean I could by an Aquapolis Box for 8k at the moment on eBay, why should somebody spend 8k on Team Rocket?

There’s a lot of comments saying its not worth 8k but not many saying its current value. I have one for sale but not sure what to price it.

Imo I would value you on par if not slightly more than jungle so around 4-4.4k
