Great read, what an excellent set this is, just so much variety with the inclusion of Light and Dark Pokemon and not to mention the huge line of Shining Pokemon too. Plus I personally feel like this set has some of the strongest artwork for common and uncommon cards.
Light Jolteon and Dark Quilava are definitely my favourite from the set!

The prices change so fast. The few month delay from when the interview occurred to when the article was printed was enough time to miss it by thousands of dollars.

It’s pretty crazy to read the 1st edition base article from two years ago and see the prices at the time that article was written. $5000 for PSA 10 Charizard!
PSA 10 1st Zard wasn’t that cheap 2 years ago either. It was in the 9-10k range.
It kind of feels lazy, at the time of publication they should have prices which are up to date… they’re meant to be a publication for a tiny niche as bonus for graders.
I think it’s very cool how an article like that catches the status quo. There’ll hopefully be follow-up articles dealing with the increase in value of certain cards somewhere down the road.
I’m wondering whether they will complete the WotC era by covering the E series as well?
