2009 japanese victory medals!

Hi ive had an account on the forum for about a year or so, sorry for the childish name haha i would love to change it, but didnt find an option to.

I just bought the typhlosion 1st place psa 10 which has about 22 psa copies. Im very happy with this purchase, but it has led me down a dark path haha. I found the pikachu victory medals from the same year, but noticed that psa has about 200 of the first place versions graded.

Why does this version have substantially more examples? Also, what is the history on these cards!

Sorry one last question as well! I saw there are meganium and feraligatr victory medals, but noticed that there were only second place versions, why is this?

I too am curious as to why there’s such a substantial pop report for the victory medals.

With ferligatr it was a gym challenge promo where all top placers from a daily tournaments in japan received one. There should be a lot of them. I assume its a similar situation with all the other medals.

Thanks to chok earlier for this information on feraligatr, i was curious too.

Are there first and third variants? Ive only seen second for feraligatr and meganium on ebay currently and through sold listings
