Just completed a difficult set that took years? Looking for a new challenge? Well…today’s your lucky day.
Here’s the backstory.
Years ago I got a baseball scorecard autographed by Mohammed Ali and a casino surveillance tape signed by Tom Lasorda (hall of fame Dodger manager). I also got a bar tab bill signed by Gordon Lightfoot(Canadian singing legend) and a golf ball signed by HOF pitcher Bob Feller.
I always liked the idea that the items these legends signed were unrelated to what they were known for.
So what???
Well, next time you get a Pokémon artist to sign something, make it a baseball or an old star wars card or an anvil.
You get the idea. It’s fun, they’ll give you a curious glance, and in time you may treasure them more than your typical sigs.
Gotta catch ‘em all? Just try catching a set like this of the top 10 artists;)
I like this idea because it keeps sharpie off Pokemon cards.
I think it would be better if they were low-key or tangentially related though. I don’t know enough about any of the artists to know what any of those items would be for specific signers, but yeah I like the sounds of that.
Fun idea but I wouldn’t want to offend any of the artists as if I didn’t know/appreciate their work. It might work better if I spoke Japanese and I could explain the irony.
Would be fun to get one of my vinyls or movie posters signed by one of them though!
Even better. I’d get them to sign my pokemon play it cardboard cd cover
Like the idea @KingPokemon, I actually bought this @teamrocketop, i collect signed cards now and then and when i saw this and being a boxing fan i had to get it, i saw your post after i had bought the card i thought it was quiet cool and different.
Awesome! I figured someone would buy it, it was random when I saw it. I was trying to collect singed Pokemon cards and this popped up and I almost grabbed it Glad it got to a safe home!
