Hey I wasn’t active during the BW era, and today got my first secret rare cards, i.e the ‘shiny’ variants of pokemon and was wondering something about the texture and the back of the card.
Notice how the texture from the front design of the card, is mirrored in the behind position of the card, is this normal?
Also say I got this graded in PSA, would this heavily affect the grade?
I am going to guess that this Emboar has been stored with either anther Emboar, or another card with the same ridged holo pattern, in a space much to tight and the ridges from another card have actually damaged this one.
PSA would definitely count it as damage.
Early Evolutions runs had a similar issue, though without the whitening (that I’ve seen). The textures can be seen on the back of the cards. I called them hard stamped cards and tossed them in a folder here: imgur.com/a/lbfmq
And yeah, PSA would definitely knock if down due to the damage.
