Always hear from this guy when I try to sell on Facebook

He’s messaged me about my past sales and usually asks way too many questions about what cards I’m selling and eventually tells me they are not worth much. This most recent sale, he took it to a new level.

I sold them later that afternoon for $40.

Sadly this is a scam that probably works on a lot of kids that don’t know any better…

I’ve received countless similar messages on ebay/insta. Just block and forget.

Damn, this is getting worrisome as a rather novice collector in the new ex cards. Are the new fakes pretty distinguishable? I typically only buy singles but I never thought it was so bad that even the newer cards were faked. That guy…what a scumbag. Not only he’s lowballing you constantly, but trying to scam the other people too. Pretty toxic to the community =/

The China EX cards are very distinguishable. They feel disgusting to the touch - the front of them is matte and the back is glossy. There’s also some pretty noticeable printing weirdness. Here’s a couple pics back from when I had to dispute a case on ebay:

This post made me laugh haha. I feel like you’ve captured a certain part of the market that is familiar to a lot of people.

If he sends you more messages make sure you post them for entertainment purposes lol.

Thanks so much for your informative post! These fakes are pretty easy to spot luckily. The lack of focus on benoit’s pictures made it look like the cards are pretty legitimate.

Now this guy deserves shit posted to him

holy shit it amazes me how much time some scum bags have on their hands to try and scam people.

You should tell us his name so people know who they’re dealing with in the future. Maybe even get him banned from facebook groups with these kind of scammy tactics.

Man you really carried that conversation several country miles beyond its expiration. If someone asks just one stupid question or gives a single low ball offer they’re auto-banned for me. For life.

I am very impressed with your patience with this guy haha.

I probably should just block and move on, but I’m new to this so it’s somewhat entertaining. Here are a couple more of our conversations.

This is our first conversation, when I was selling my extra commons/uncommons/trainers from Evolutions and Shining Legends.

Here’s a convo we had about my Shining Legends bulk I sold a few weeks ago. For reference, I had the Zoroaks priced at $15 each.

For being so knowledgable, he couldn’t figure out what I was selling even though it was posted with these pictures:

why even converse with a mouth breather like that??

Well, on a positive note, it looks like he’s banned from selling on Facebook. When I checked a few days ago, he had around 30 different items listed. One of the items was the fake EXs, so I reported it. After checking back today, he has 0 items for sale.

Does Facebook really check that on the Marketplace and/or groups? I have seen major bulk of fake cards showing up on a group I am part off. Mainly parents dumping their kids holiday purchases from Turkey, but I think I can only report to the group admin

This is as sad as it is hilarious.
I’d like to know this person’s name so I can go ahead and block as well.

please give me his/her contact. i’d like to waste his/her life away with a chatbot…Thanks.
