Ancient mew without a black line down the edge, is it fake?

Just received an ancient mew card and it looks and feels legit but there isnt a black line on the edges of the card. Can anyone tell me if their ancient mew has or doesn’t have a line or any info at all would be helpful, thanks!

Post a picture and many of us will be able to offer you expert opinions.

It might be a tricky photo to take, but hold the card steady and try to zoom in on the edge while keeping it in focus.

The clearest picture I could get, also front and back if that helps. Thanks for the help!

It looks legit to me, I don’t believe they’ve made any good fakes of Ancient Mew.

As for the black line, it would seem to be prominent in Non-Holo cards, and the Holofoil versions have a whitish-silver core, for comparison a Base Machamp (Left) and a Holo JP Promo (Right) at 20x Zoom using a loupe, without the loupe the black line was difficult to see with the naked eye, and I have ridiculously good eyesight for small details:

I checked on an XY143 Holo Magikarp and indeed the line is silverish too. I’ll see if I can locate an English Ancient Mew somewhere around here and double check.

I just checked an English Ancient Mew, and it has the same white edge as yours. I’d say yours is legit.

Thank you guys so much! You’ve really eased my mind. I was just always under the assumption that all cards should have the line and when I didn’t see it, my heart sunk lol I really appreciate you guys taking the time to help me get to the bottom of this!
