Another Alpha Black Lotus pull on Youtube

Go 8.08 for real action. :sunglasses:

I only wonder what hidden gems remaining 6 starter decks will contain… :stuck_out_tongue:

I think I read somewhere that for Alpha and possibly Beta there are card maps so you know if you are going to pull a power 9 just from the cards around it pretty crazy.

Yup the guy in the video who pulled it said he got a glimpse of the front rare after opening the deck and from his knowledge knew he already had a 50% chance of pulling a black lotus

I believe there was a beta sealed starter deck box sold by highgradepristinecomics last year.
they had it posted around 8–90k with OBO. I think it sold for around 60k.

those edges and corners were pretty rough from the shots i saw. I don’t think that would ever get a PSA 10.
I’d have to say this seems a bit fishy. working with beckett and you are lucky enough to pull the MTG holy grail.
then BGS grades it very high. I’m sure this wont have a positive effect on the flow of incoming grades.

Hard to believe those starter decks sold for $7.95 each back in the day, it’s crazy.

Why oh why do people just set these on the table like that. So many cards get edge damage being picked up from flat surfaces. Light surface scratches from dust and junk too.

And I am over here sleeving and card-savering immediately every single fossil and jungle 1st edition card (even common, uncommon and non holo rare) I opened from the last sealed boxes that I paid about $700 for.

cringed a little at the guy tossing them onto the table lol

You know what is even worse? People in comment section bitching these guys didn’t use gloves and now the surface is damaged because that.

I have never even thought of trying to use gloves and wouldn’t as it seems way overkill for me, but I think the safest way is definitely opening them as a stack, and feeding from the back of the stack straight into penny sleeves. You only touch the front of the top card and briefly touch the back of each card towards the middle.
