Anyone collecting the ultra shiny gx set?

So I picked up 5 boxes recently on a trip to Japan and am now considering ordering more from Amazon Japan as the set is so awesome. Opening them is addictive as you are guaranteed shiny pulls. The ultra shiny cards are in great condition aswell and could easily be graded psa 9/10 from what I can tell. Anyone else?

I am super unlucky with pulls…so I just put some singles of my favorite shiny cards :stuck_out_tongue:

I am not collecting the whole set, but if you want any cards to help complete the set, let me know. I am only trying to get a few and won’t need the rest :blush:.

I’m going to pick up some of the alternate art non-GX cards in a few months when the hype is dead. They look better than the Shiny GX imo. Pretty sure this set will have a big print run so no rush to pick up anything here.

I have cracked a few boxes and it is certainly fun to do so. I probably won’t be building a master set but I will collect a few of the characters I really like and grade them.

I’m definitely building a master set. They sure do look well all together. Cant wait til’ they’re all organized in a set.

there’s one on eBay for like $5000 right now… A too little pricy :sob: but for the amount of boxes needed to pull all those SSR cards it may be fair.

I will most likely open around 5-6 boxes, then single buy all the remaining cards. Hopefully I can trade my doubles for cards I need as well.

I finished the set recently. To be honest this set made me more angry than anything else. Was an ass to finish. Mostly repeated artworks. And boxes so limited around town.

At the start I was loving it though. The ssr and shinings are neat and the reverse pattern looks cool once done.

I don’t care for the entire set, but I think some of the regular non-GX shinings are really special. I’ll definitely be picking my favorites and getting them in a 10 to shove in a box for future smiles. I think this is a fantastic set for picking your favorites and foregoing the entire collection unless you’re a masochist.

But I’d say everyone should take a look through the set, even if they aren’t interested, to see if any individual cards catch the eye. They’re going super cheap, the condition is fantastic, and some of the artworks are charming.

Still end up cheaper than regular English booster boxes if you order from Amazon Japan. Considering you are guaranteed 2/3 super rares and a tonne of holos/gx cards in each box it’s better value anyway.
