Hey guys, just wanted to see what everyone thought of these pull rates? I am loving it and I’m hoping it’s a lot easier going forward to complete sets and cards are not nearly as expensive right now. You can buy the most expensive card for 70 on tcgplayer. I would love that going forward because if you want the card and you’re not able to pull you can buy it without breaking the bank. The fact that even now moonbreon is a $500 raw and girtina around 300 seems crazy. I rather cards be easy and in expensive now and then long run if they go up in value after people who wanted it are able to get it. I think that’s better. What you guys think?

Too much glitter / full art stuff for my personal taste, but maybe it’s just my „everything used to be better“ mentality
Most of the younger collectors at recent pre-release events and trade nights loved it and I believe that’s what it should be about, so all in all a good move from the company.

I’m having a lot of fun opening these! Hope the rest of the sets are like this. Makes it a lot more rewarding opening packs and feels like less of a gamble all the time. I agree that modern should be more accessible and affordable for everyone.

I am a huge fan of better pull rates and being able to realistically omplete a set.
It also keeps people out that are only in it for the money

Better pull rates is fantastic! And hopefully it continues to help people afford the cards they actually want rather than being priced so far out of reach. Among other things!

Exactly, in 20 years if one of those cards in a psa 10 is worth 5k I’m fine with that. Still gave everyone years to get the card for an affordable price. It’s why I am ok with base set unlimited charizard prices. That card up until 2019 you could have gotten for less than 100 bucks on tcgplayer nm. That’s why I want new cards to be like. I don’t want another moonbreon or girtiana which they are going from 300-600 raw now. They are less then an a year old

Seems like i had a bit too high expectations for the pull rates since i felt a little bit disappointed, opened 10 packs with 2 regular ex being the only hits, sure was fun to open lots of new gen 9 pokemon tho!
I also feel like my pull rates were lower than expected at about 1/5 packs for an ex or better… BUT I do like the new sets and the holo in every pack. It’s been long overdue, as the standard rare is ridiculously outclassed. Damn power creep…
