@thetropicalwoodsman, dosn’t look tall enough to me I’m also wondering how the turnaround time would compare to individual cards, I remember over a year ago someone said they usually take much LONGER! Hope CGC makes a tall enough case.
Saw this seller had a bunch of graded packs, all a mixture of different languages, and different sizes. They seem to have been graded at the same time, the certs are roughly 48601XXX. Japanese and long top packs(?) are folded over in the old case, whereas regular short packs are in the new case.
Something else interesting - Two Japanese E Series packs (E2 & E3) both were graded PSA7 and both were missing the top foil hole cutout, maybe a grading parallel to cards with dents?
TwicebakedJake actually made a video recently where he sent in a bunch of English and Japanese booster packs because he wanted the new slabs. Sadly, the Japanese packs were still being encased with their flaps folded. Timestamped video below.
Sry for asking but since you have some old packs i hope you have expierence with this already^^
If you have a graded old pack in gem mint 10 and you would send in for new booster case, do they consider the old grade or downgrade since( IF) the old case hurts the booster quality?
They really should downgrade and pony up with their guarantee for anyone that’s trying to cross an old booster slab. There’s no way any of the folded ones deserves a 10 anymore. They put themselves in a bad situation folding packs with their old slabs.
Update - Retro Gaming Collective on IG posted a submission of Japanese packs and got a mix of old and new cases. The 2 packs in the new case got 8/9 and the old folded case got mostly 10. I’m not convinced with how they look due to that line in the plastic that cuts across the base of the pack, its a step in the right direction, but I’d imagine they won’t iterate on this any time soon.
