Are Gamestop Promos Real?

Is The Gamestop Promo Real? Ive heard that if you go to a gamestop and ask, they will give you a pokemon promo card for the current set that is out, is this true? ive never tried it, and havent gone to a gamestop in forever. If this is true, are there any other stores that do this?

Yes Gamestop does it, but I think you have to buy $15 worth of product, however I heard some just give out for free. EB Games does this as well and I think theres another one too, but I forgot

Occasionally Best Buy does too. Can’t think of any other one. But it’s almost always you have to buy $15 of tcg.

Yes! Ive got them all, and am currently on the look out for paldean fates ones (if gamestop does one this time) i had to buy 15 dollars worth of stuff for most of these but i got a couple for just asking nicely.
Edit: Best buy and your local shops do this sometimes as well.
