I read somethig gabout the VS sets and the Tropical mega Battle in 2001 and 2002. I would like to know if they are really that rare. If so how valuable they are. Because I would like to get some of them.
Are you talking about the non-Japanese VS cards that were given out at the tournaments?
English VS Series is incredibly rare and hard to find, as the whole series was deemed uncompetitive by WOTC and was therefore never printed as a full set, and only a few cards were given out at the TMB. @hapycakeoven and @smpratte probably know more on this than I do. Japanese VS Series is nowhere near that rarity, but isn’t exactly common either. You can usually find packs on eBay easy enough.

The rocket’s tyranitar VS deck is the only non japanese printing given out to a handful of people at the tmb tournaments, so yea they are incrsdibly rare to even find let alone buy. The tyranitar was switched with a tropical wind I believe. @darkrai just posted a cloyster from one of the english on his collection thread.
I saw Darkrais post and that got me interessted. So I was wondering what you guys knew about it.

Oh wow! Nice. Does anybody know how many cards where given out ?^^
You would need to figure out how many competitors there were on the days they were given out, one deck in the players native language was given out to each competitor.

Wow thanks for the information. So the set is really hard to come by. Especially if you want it in a certain language.
I would put it this way, the regular vs set contains the same cards in japanese and it is alot easier to collect, if you want even one of the TMB cards you will have to wait a long time and also shell out ALOT of money, especially if you are seeking the few remaining cards from the sets that are mint still out there.
