Are these legit or fake?

Hey everyone!

Since I was burned last time I reckon I would ask your opinion on these before committing. I have the opportunity to purchase the booster pictured:

@acebren already told me that the aquapolis look legit, however, since I know there are fake power keepers boosters out there I am concerned about those.

What do you think? Thank you!

Dude, forget wasting money on packs. There’s so many better places to put your hard earned dollars.

HINT HINT

I am in the EU, so the availability of products is not comparable to the US, unfortunately :slightly_frowning_face:

You are all talking Pokemon, right? XD

I was kidding that Not Zelda was hinting about his store (which he wasn’t actually) - but yes, we are. Loose packs are generally a good way to throw money away, better off using that to get a card you want from that set, at least imo

Depends if you plan to keep them sealed or not, if are buying them to open always assume they are weighed. But they do look real.

Wish I had bought packs, blisters and boxes back in early-mid 00. Lol…

Nowadays, it’s easier to fake them. Too risky to buy.

I have 1st ed base starters packs (empty) just for display. That’s good enough for me.

I’ve purchased over 1000 old school boosters in my time, never received a fake, and more importantly haven’t seen many fakes, I’d say the risk is almost nil if you use a little common sense

I am a rookie sealed collector, nothing in my collection is fake atm. I am personally more worried about resealed boosters. Is there any tell-tale signs? Probably should make a new thread.

I rarely open boosters, I prefer to keep them sealed since the gamble is big. Perhaps with the money I get a PSA 9 Crystal lugia instead, which is a card that I really like and for sure is not coming in those aquapolis booster.

Maybe I check @garyis2000 store ahaha

Quality of the wrappers is a dead giveaway. Smell also. Colour saturation. Too loose.

These are the things I have recently found by being scammed on 90 packs

I more meant resealed packs. But ill make a new thread in the coming days.

You bought 1000s from this time? No fakes? Which seller you got it from? Or you got em from a card shop?
Trusted sellers (non-resellers) that sell said packs are hard to find today.

Non trusted, new sellers or resellers, the risk is doubled.
I cannot stress enough that it’s easy to fake sealed products. Almost perfectly resealed packs and boxes with wraps. It almost looks like 1:1.

Rudy made a good vid about this issue.

over 1000 since 2008ish

purchased from many different sellers, no fakes, there are still plenty of sellers of old sealed product

have you actually ever purchased fake product? because honestly fake old school product in Pokemon is almost non existent, and the stuff that does exist is usually old fakes from the period - which can easily be distinguished from real product

Sorry for the confusion. These were the times I wished to buy in bulks.

I had bought fakes last year or so. Fakes (resealed packs in my case) turned out to be fakes. I’m EU based so I don’t know if that changes anything. Maybe cardhouse.eu? :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s easier to fake resealed than a faking card.

I won’t be surprised if PSA grades a fake box someday! Just joking but what they did with resealed packs were awful.

Buying from trusted sellers is the best solution. But still erring about that andn using my cash for better things anyway
