Authenticity of rough back Japanese Neo Shining

Hi everyone, I recently purchased a Japanese Shining Mewtwo. I was surprised when I opened it that the back felt noticeably rough. I’m not too familiar with Japanese cards as I’m primarily an English collector, so was wondering if I could get some help determining its authenticity and whether this is a common thing?

Here’s an Imgur Album although I can provide more pictures of needed: imgur.com/a/NTgwKfN

Thank you

Looks fine to me

Same for me as well. If there’s texture or dirt of any sort on it, you could shine a light on it from an angle to capture it. Maybe then we’d see what you’re describing?

I used to have a bunch of bulk old back Japanese cards. I would occasionally find cards, including holos, with rough backs (think like soft sandpaper). From what I could tell, they were legitimate. Perhaps just a different finishing process was used on those cards?

Like Benoit said below, it’s just the actual print of the card, no dirt or anything. It feels like soft sandpaper, I’m not sure how to capture that on a picture unfortunately.

Yeah this is exactly what this is like. You’ve given me a bit more peace of mind knowing it’s at least somewhat common, thank you
