Base set booster box sealed weight

How’s it going everyone?

I’m going to look at a base set unlimited booster box tomorrow. I was wondering if someone on here that has one that knows 100% there’s is legit could weigh it for me and let me know what it weighs. I’d think it would weigh the same as other earlier wotc boxes, but just to be safe.

Thanks alot!

its kinda tough because youd need to weigh the box then open it to prove its real, all other weights wouldnt have much weight *pun*

You could also open a sealed case and open 1 or more boxes from that case to confirm. I’m sure someone has done that.

770g +/- 20g

As an FYI, serious scammers can include the right proportion of modern booster packs to easily replicate the above weight. If it’s wildly off, that’s a great tell the box is fake, but having the correct weight unfortunately is not enough by itself to prove a box’s legitimacy.

Mine weighed in at 795g and was later opened to find it was legit. But to echo qwachansey, unfortunately there’s not much utility in weighing these boxes as a stamp of authenticity anymore, regardless of WOTC wrapper. Some sad individuals on IG have recently (last few months or so) been parading their ability to create a replica of the wotc wrapper to presumably help them create resealed boxes. The boxes would still be distinguishable as reseals by hobby veterans or those who have experience with handling wotc boxes, due to the subtle differences in print and seal of the wrapper, signs of wear on the box itself that aren’t reflected in the cellophane etc, but it adds yet another layer of uncertainty for the more casual buyer.

Anybody know what’s the weight for a ex sandstorm heavy pack?
