Best way to sell cards?

I am quite inexperienced in card selling. I want to know what the best way for me to make profit off of my cards is. Is it worth it to sell cards individually or to a company that specifically sells Pokemon products? The cards themselves are from EX sets and have a value of less than 5$ for each. If I do sell it to a company, how do I go about doing it? What company can I sell it to?

1st thread. I am sorry if there is anything wrong.

Sell on ebay you’ll get more than selling to big companies

I always find its best to do research on most cards in a collection, especially holos, rares and Promos. Then go by the average they have sold for. Has worked for me so far and “rarely” have any complaints about card condition.

If you have a bunch of sub $5 cards - just consider selling them to Troll and Toad. They pay very well for Pokemon and you only have to ship once. If you have some more expensive things - consider selling through eBay. If you are an inexperienced seller - I highly recommend just selling to Troll and Toad. Safe and they usually pay pretty fast as well. You can avoid the hardships of shipping on eBay with no tracking.

Yeah this was what I was considering. thanks

Is there a strategy you have to sell quicker? I am a fairly new Ebay seller and I am scared that people don’t trust me

Just start small on eBay and build a reputation along with positive ratings:)

also pictures pictures…good description, well packaged…no tape, staples etc maybe look on yt for good ways to ship cards. Also make sure to know postage costs, paypal and ebay fees etc so you dont end up out of pocket and for items over x amount best to send with proof of delivery so tracked and signed for usually. lower priced items its not cost effective to send tracked so thats a risk…however im sure seasoned ebayers can attest its rare to have claims.
Good luck though…and research beforehand to make sure you are well versed in what is expected on ebay

Description would be best. I myself tend to under grade cards as there will be buyers with high expectations. Of course if selling one by one, clear pics of the card are a must. If you have BIN (Buy It Now) listings up, I suggest doing them a bit lower than what is available currently, and a bit of wiggle room for offers while you are it.

As for shipping, I find it best to offer Free shipping on all cards and upgrade to First Class Mail for a $10-$15 sale. This gives incentive to the customer that they are getting their cards AND can track them at any given time. I also used First Class stamped for cards less than that, but don’t have many problems with it. This way you build a reputation and can have many buyers return to you.

Sounds good. The problem is that I don’t have a desire to do this for a living or long term. I am just trying to get some cards off of me so I can buy other things.

selling as a joblot on ebay or to a company is best to offload quickly. However the return on your cards will be a fraction of what youd get breaking it down. Up to you really, depends on time and effort you want to put into it for the extra dollaaa

EDIT: or maybe sell in chunks/smaller job lots.It depends how many cards you have to sell.maybe smaller joblots or sell the bulk to a company and the rares holos etc yourself

Ah understandable. Best bet would be just listing them as auctions and set eBay to Calculate shipping. Clear pics always are a huge plus as mentioned. Good Luck man!
