I’m having a hard time making purchases on cardmarket.com from a seller in France. He doesn’t ship to the USA and i had to just make a bs address in the UK to even make the account. Any suggestions on how to complete transactions with sellers that don’t directly ship to the USA? For example either a 3rd party or middleman that could receive the card from the seller and then forward it to me. Thanks!
hi! I can help you. Send me a PM
We Europeans have the same problem when we buy things from the UK or the US.
A lot of parcel forwarding services exist. Popular one is shipito for us europeans, which gives you a US address. You can than use this address to send your packages too. Once you are ready you can consolidate everything into one package and send it to your home address. Saves a lot of shipping costs.
As far as i can see, shipito gives you aswell an address in europe (austria). US->Europe works flawless. Never used Shipito(Austria)->US, but might be worth a look.
I’ve also been middlemaning every now and then so i can also help if needed
I have middlemanned a few times for some friends, so I can also help if needed. I can imagine the difficulty is annoying.
Cheers!
Yes please if anyone is willing to do this for me id greatly appreciate it.
I have a question about cardmarket, didnt want to create a new thread, so asking here.
Does anyone know if I can filter a seller with most cards from a certain set? Say I am after commons and uncommons from expedition and want to buy as much bulk as possible in one go.
Right now, finding a seller with at least 10+ cards from the set is so random. Does anyone have a personal system you would be willing to share?
Unfortunately no.
The only thing you could do is go into a sellers profile and filter/search their listings by set and card rarity and type.
@martin @pokefitart actually you can do it but it requires some work, you can add all the cards from expedition in your wants list and then see the list of sellers who have the most cards on your wants list (or use shopping wizard but i have no experience of that)
Ahh I completely forgot about that (because I rarely use it )
It’s not a great balance though. Most times the sellers with the most cards from a list are professional and prices are not the cheapest. Then selecting the cheapest listings will give dozens of multiple sellers but I suppose with a bit of work it maybe beneficial for some
What country do you reside
As @pokefitart mentioned it may require some work tho as some sellers who have a lot of inventory also may have higher prices, also the shipping costs inside europe vary a lot so you may have to list all the cards you want from all the sellers you consider to find what total prices/inventories suit you the best. So it’s doable and all the info can be found via wanted list but may take extra time that’s not anticipated when starting the process
@PkmnTrnAnt i live in finland!
Im looking for a French Birthday Pikachu. There’s one listed on CardMarket for 13k which is absolutely insane. The card is not worth even a fraction that price and the seller is stubborn and won’t even negotiate. It’s been a nightmare trying to aquire the card
If you find one you are willing to buy i can help with that, can’t help much with anything else, hopefully one with suitable price appears in your searches!
Me too! They only 2 that I was willing to purchase the seller refused to sell outside of France. They also took the listing down
Being a collector from Canada, I’ve often run into this problem. What I’ve done with European sellers is be upfront and tell them where I live and I’m willing to pay the extra shipping costs to have the card sent to me. I’ve even walked them through the steps of going to their Post Office and sending mail to international destinations. Most of the time this works. Rarely did I have a stubborn seller.
