buying psa slabs with scratches/cracks

is it pretty easy to get PSA to fix these? seen a few for sale around me - seem like minor cracks, but not sure worth the pain and time of sending it in - is it treated as a new card at psa?

or

PSA can put the card in a new slab if the damage to the case did not damage the card.(they will determine this when receiving the card) They do charge for this service and I don’t believe it is even available right now but someone correct me if I am wrong. As for scratches go if it is not deep scratches there are plenty of polishes out there made for plastic or even some made for metal that work well on getting scratches out of cases.

Reholder is currently available, but I’m not sure about the current turnaround time on it or how that scales with the expedited options. Their CTD is currently showing ~8 month backlog on it.

I bought a card in an old case recently I was going to reholder, but the cert says it was graded in dec 1999 so thats pretty cool I may just keep it knowing it was literally pack to grade

Buy the slab, not the card

Copy and pasted this from the PSA website, seems they are accepting these orders now but I would imagine the lower levels will take awhile.
