Hi, I’m new here so I don’t know if this is allowed or not, but what are all the places where you would look for to buy graded cards? I know eBay, then there’s an app called “offer up”, Mercari, TCGplayer (although I don’t know if they sell graded cards), then found out about PWCC. What are other places for buying? Whether it’s a “buy now” or an auction, so I have most options set out, probably would help others who may not know of certain places as well.
I’m looking for an Ancient Mew l first correction PSA 10 & an Art Academy Pikachu (with the red suit & umbrella) card, graded 10 or not at all, & there’s just not many places to look at, besides those I’ve mentioned & of course social media in general.
It looks like you named the biggest marketplaces for graded cards, the other auction houses being Goldin and Heritage Auctions.
The ancient mew is fairly common and a fair price can most likely be found on eBay or even using PWCC’s fixed price search. With patience, these cards can even go cheaper if found on auction rather than buy it now.
As for the raincoat pikachu, that card is extremely rare and desirable so the prices will be competitive. The best bet is to make a buy thread (after reaching 50 posts) and making a private deal with someone on efour.
Yeah I did that over at the “Collections”, no response there lol but I suppose it’s because the cards I’m looking for are hard to find. It’s like doing real detective work finding people who have them, shit.
For graded cards, the two options with the least risk (combined with the lowest barrier to entry) for a buyer are eBay and PWCC. eBay naturally has vastly more item choice, but you can find some cards on the PWCC fixed price marketplace for cheaper than eBay, especially niche Japanese cards in the $100-$500 range
Corrected v1 in PSA-10 isn’t too easy to find, though. I don’t see a single one for sale right now despite the reasonably high pop, and when I bought mine back in 2018 it also took me a while (e.g. 4-5 months) before one popped up on a PWCC auction.
The Red Raincoat Art Academy card (s)he mentions as well is easier to find for sale in my experience (although for a reasonable price is a different story all-together ).
