Card savers vs toploaders

What do you store your cards in prior to grading and why? I.e. What are the positives and the negatives of each storage option? I see most people use card savers when posting to Psa but is this just when submitting cards for grading?

Thanks in advance

Card savers are the proper choice hands down as it is what PSA recommends. I know they reject cards submitted in screw downs/snap cases and I thought I had heard that they reject toploaders, but it seems they just don’t prefer them. From PSA:

“Place your items in individual semi-flexible card
sleeves, such as a CardSaver I. The use of soft
Mylar “penny” sleeves is optional. PSA does not
recommend the use of Top Loaders. We do not
accept screw-down holders or acrylic snap cases.”

Bulk I store in penny sleeves, inside a box to limit dust particles getting stuck inside the sleeve.
More valuable cards I store in the well-known tight-sleeve inside penny sleeves inside top loader.
Certain cards (pre-select for PSA) I keep inside Ultra Pro semi rigid, because Card Saver I are just impossible to obtain in the EU. This makes the job a lot easier when trying to stage, make the submission etc. because I don’t have to fiddle with the cards anymore or be afraid of damaging due sorting/‘shuffling’

And PSA cards I store inside the small brown PSA boxes because they’re nice and tight and don’t take up much space.
