I saw that the new Professor Willow card has a Niantic copyright at the bottom of the card. So I’m curious if there are other examples. The two I know of is Professor Willow and the Poke TV’s AD Pikachu which has the copyright TV-Tokyo-Pokemon-ShoPro
Clever idea for a thread. Looking forward to seeing what gets posted.
Very cool idea for a thread! I’m interested to see what else there is.
Certainly not quite what you’re after, but just to get this out of the way: the Dark Arbok card from Team Rocket has an erroneous “©1999-23000 Wizards”:
This is similar to the Japanese Ancient Mew error which has “Nintedo” instead of “Nintendo”.
The Japanese detective pikachu cards (both set and promos) have the copyright WBEI and Legendary. I have some of these cards but never noticed until now.
However it appears that one of the promos in particular has the copyright as Legendary and WBEI.
When I saw the Professor Willow with unique codes and TV Pikachu and only skimmed through your text I for a moment thought you had discovered some kind of unique code on the TV Pikachu and you scared me for a bit…
But unique copyright dates is pretty interesting. I unfortunately don’t have any to contribute besides the ones already mentioned that have a different copyright company mentioned. But, one interesting relatable thing I discovered thanks to your question: the Pikachu World 2010 cards from the US and Japan aren’t just different at the back. I always thought the front were exactly the same, but apparently the copyright information differs (the Japanese ones mention ©2010 Pokémon/Nintendo/Creatures/GAME FREAK whereas the English ones mention just ©2010 Pokémon/Nintendo). TIL.
Greetz,

The Domino’s promos have a logo instead of text. I would have thought the Toys ‘R’ Us promos had the trademark text, but skimming through them, none seemed to.
The Team Japan’s Pikachu might have more copyrights than any other Pokemon card:
-
© 2009 Japan Football Association
-
© 2014 adidas Japan K.K. (plus a bonus trademark disclaimer)
-
© Nintendo · Creatures · GAME FREAK · TV Tokyo · ShoPro · JR Kikaku
-
© Pokemon
Also, in case someone missed it the first time:
- © 2014 Pokemon/Nintendo/Creatures/Game Freak (this time featuring forward slashes instead of interpuncts)
And to make matters worse, the designer committed the unforgivable sin of putting some of the legalese right on top of the illustration. Ugh. (But an adorable card otherwise.)
