Is Secret Santa once a year enough? Is anyone interested in some sort of Summer-time E4 activity that engages the collector community?
While many people abroad can’t participate in physical E4 gatherings like Worlds or Toronto Meetup, perhaps a second E4 event could tie into late - summer. Be it a second Secret Santa or something entirely different, use this thread to share your ideas that could reasonably be considered by Staff for the future.

I would love this. I really wanted to partake in the secret Santa thing last year but missed out. I post here somewhat frequently but would like to partake in something a bit more engaging!

Secret Santa but not dependent on activity on the forums would be neat, I’m always in the discord but rarely here on the forum.
Would love to participate in something during the summer. I think Christmas in July is a great idea. If we wanted something later summer maybe celebrating the release of Pokemon Red and Blue in North America (September 28)? I know this is a global community, just trying to find Pokemon-significant dates later in the summer and this was one of the first that I came across.
I think Charlie’s already got enough on his plate with the logistics of one Secret Santa…but I love the idea of a summer E4 event that engages the forum! Maybe something like a signed card exchange or artwork swap that does not include much in terms of monetary value. That way we don’t need to invest in tracked shipping (which can get real expensive in an international forum) and it’s less of an issue if someone doesn’t send.

Lets see if we can brainstorm something for the summer that is engaging, but logistically less intensive, at Worlds. Be thinking on it and bring your best ideas or send them with a representative.

I super liked the idea but I also instantly thought about Charlie. Secret Santa for sure is not something easy to organize and the man needs some time in his day to do his own stuff.
If any cool E4 event pops up I am in for sure! And this topic also reminded me that I have to check into 2019’s Secret Santa by buying stuff ahead of time.
It’d be cool for something else to occur in the summer months as Secret Santa is always fun. That said you’d need to find someone willing to put in many unpaid hours to make something to that level all happen. @funmonkey54 is a saint for what he does to run SS and I don’t think it can be understated how much work coordinating with 50+ people would be. The tracked part of SS was a must because feelings get hurt and issues get caused when items didn’t show up. You’d be prone to some amount of headaches doing anything untracked, but if it was all low value and everyone went in knowing the risks and genuinely getting as much out of giving as receiving (or not receiving) then it could be fun.
E4 Secret Santa is in summer what are you guys talking about?

Or do you have Santa women dressed according to the season, in which case I’ll come over to Australia next Christmas 
(I will refrain from posting pictures of what I have in my head, haha xD)
But to be on topic: I love the idea of doing an additional event in the Summer (or Winter for you Shizzle ). I’ll see if I can come up with some ideas and perhaps post them later.

I would love this and would be totally down to participate! 
The idea of trading e4 sigs is appealing to me even though I’m a slowpoke at getting sigs out to people (It’s something a lot of collectors on the discord do but I’m not sure if that translates to the forum, can people weigh in on that?)
Definitely good to hear there is interest in some sort of secondary event outside of just Secret Santa.
Still hoping this thread generates some additional ideas.
