Collection of first edition (English) cards

Hey everyone, I’ve been collecting for 5 years or so, and I’ve been working on collecting all English 1st Editions. By my count there are 941 Pokemon cards printed in English that have a 1st Edition variant. Can anyone independently verify that? I’ve collected 901 of them so far and, other than Charizard Base Set 1st Edition, I am missing the listed below. I’m pretty much just missing some Holo Rare and Secret Rare from the Neo era, which I know will be pricey, but if anyone has any leads on where to find them, let me know. I’ve also collected Base Set Shadowless (complete) and Base Set Unlimited (complete), well, just because. And I also have a set of Southern Islands in English just because it was printed amidst the 1st Editions by WOTC (sadly there is no 1st Edition version of those).

If I’ve counted correctly, there are: 947 officially released English 1st edition cards + 42^[1] repeating misprints/variants of English 1st edition cards.

Thanks for the thorough reply. I hadn’t considered the variations, so I was missing the +3 Machamp, +1 Pikachu, +2 Prerelease Aerodactyl, and +1 Pikachu promo, which accounts for the 6 card difference in our counts. I’ll add them to my list… thanks!

Many, but not all, error cards have a 1st Edition stamp. It would be quite the endeavor to complete it all.
