Complete first edition base set ungraded

Does anyone have a opinion on how much an ungraded full set would cost I have the opportunity to buy one the seller has told me the cards are all in excellent condition some near mint I will see the cards in person before I commit I was just wondering peoples thoughts of price the zard and blastoise are supposingly a psa 7

That’s a tough one… even if he says the Zard is 7 it might be a 6 and loses half value. I would be very careful buying these.

I’m just throwing a random number here, but I wouldn’t pay more than $5k for the whole set(up to $2k non holos and up to $3k holos). Is it local? Can you get a good idea of how each holo looks like? Just pay as little as possible tbh. You take all the risk.

Yes please see the cards before spending a few thousand. Some people’s condition statements can be so off and first ed base has a ton of variance in terms of condition

Sweet. As long as they’re reasonable with the price, I say go for it. Update us with some pics if you do end up buying the set.

WOW! Are the Non-Holo Cards (17-102) really worth $2,000.00 (very rough estimate)? I’ve got a NM/M Condition Non-Holo Set in my collection with both Pikachu Cards; and for some reason I only have $1,000.00-Value listed on my Excel Spreadsheet.

I said up to… but yeah realistically probably $1200-1500 or so. $15 average or maybe a little more, it depends on the condition.

Full PSA 9 non holos are about $3000 or a little less.

If you’re talking NM ungraded I would expect $1500 or so. NM/M pack fresh cards probably closer to $2k. Honestly, most of these cards are worth just almost as much ungraded than in PSA 9. It’s realy the 10s that bring a premium.

Now we have no idea the condition of the cards OP is looking to buy so anywhere from $1000-2000 really.

A PSA9 holo set doesn’t go for that much? A PSA9 Charizard is +5k. They’re talking about first edition shadowless…
