The back mentions it. I don’t think it should affect the grade personally, but I am also of the opinion that the grade overall doesn’t really mean much.
CGC graded the set all together. While being able to see the lot of cards side by side, they graded on an adjusted scale that took damage that was common amongst the cards into account. Think of how Rocket or Jungle with a rough cut is graded to allow the paint chip affect on the edge of the card.

I actually have the Caterpie. The Weedle and Caterpie were mislabled by CGC. I’m not sure if I should get CGC to fix the slab or just keep it cause it’s kinda cool that it’s mislabeled If the owner of the Weedle happens to be here drop me a DM.
