Hey everyone, looking for recommendations for cards around the 1.5-3k range. Not set cards, only looking for unique promos, trophies, things like that. Thanks!

That price range is a hard price range to come up with something imo. Most (if not all trophies) are higher and most japanese promos are cheaper if you buy them raw. Some options I have found are lottery promos, there are a lot of different cards but most of them are reprints so they do not have that uniqueness to them. Another one are the fan club promos such as eevee or porygon. The 20th anniversary battle festa promo are also in that price range. Of course the grand party is also an amazing option.
It might be because I am not buying in that price range right now that I dont have better options or it could just be a hard price range to have unique cards

There are countless possibilities. But what ever you decide to buy, just make sure it’s an English Base Set Charizard.
Since all value comes from nostalgia - and we all know there is no nostalgia outside of Base - and nobody can read any language except English, that’s a no-brainer. I’ve also heard rumors that it is the rarest Pokeman card. Better invest now before word gets around.

Fan Club promos. You can get a PSA 9 Porygon at the lower end of your price range. A PSA 9 Eevee would be more than $3k but relatively close. Great cards!

You can get a set of the Mario and Luigi pikachu full arts if you don’t own one yet. I think that set will steadily increase and has wide appeal.

The stamped burned tower promo and the indigo plateau promo. The 2008-2010 era had some great promos. IIRC they made the call of legends cards into Japanese promos around that time too. Those are also really nice

2016 20th Anniversary Pikachu festa is my favourite card in the entire hobby 
But don’t forget that 25th anniversary is coming… I’d save that money to be prepared if something really good is released (which will hopefully happen)
