Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Triology

Any fellow Crash Bandicoot fans out here? How are you feeling about this original Crash Bandicoot triology being remastered?

I’m personally very happy that the original Crash is coming back. It’s not going to beat the originals and so on, but I like how kids of today can get a taste of the old good Bandicoot with these remasters and people who sold their old Crash Bandicoot games can get the feeling back. I still have all the originals and still play them quite often, but I’m exited to see how the remaster will be and I will pick it up for sure. So far what I’ve seen I’m quite happy with it, though we really haven’t seen any shots of Crash Bandicoot 2 or 3 yet.

I think it will be a huge thing for platformers in general. In recent years there has been less and less platforming kind of games apart from indie games (and things like Mario) and having one of the most iconic platforming mascots from the past coming back to its roots, I think it’s amazing.

As a big PS1 fan in general this makes me think if Spyro is going to have the same remaster treatment later. If Crash does well I think it’s possible. But, I’m very much of a “genwunner” when it comes to Spyro. You see, I didn’t enjoy any Spyro game after Insomniac’s era. With Crash I still enjoyed games after Naughty Dog’s era. Crash Bash, The Wrath of Cortex, Twinsanity and Nitro Kart were decent Crash games. But then Crash of the Titans etc happened…

I very much don’t like the character design changes Spyro has gone through during the years too. The Skylanders Spyro is such an ugly creature that looks nothing like the little cute badass purple dragon from the originals  So if Spyro ever gets remastered for me they need to bring him back to a design that looks more like the original, and the mechanics and everything need to be spot on. It will be hard to recreate the feeling and to me the original Spyro games are something very unique in gaming history. I would be extremely happy with a remaster for Spyro too, but I’m very much picky about how it should be.

But in general I hope everything goes well for the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Triology and I’m very excited to see how it will be like and how popular it ends up being.

I might get it. I’ve only played a couple of Crash games, but they were pretty fun. Hopefully this remaster is as good as the originals.

And I agree about Spyro. OG Spyro is best Spyro.

I’m not a huge crash fan… I only played 50+ hours of the original last year after 100% completing it twice and speed running it a few hours daily getting. Got good enough to complete half of it 100% without dying. Best overall time for any% was about 1 hour 30 minutes. So you could say I’m very excited for a remaster
