Deck dimensions

Would anyone happen to know the dimensions of a single sleeved competition deck, specifically the thickness with sleeves.

Do you mean the thickness of 60 cards stack upon one another?

Precisely. I’m a machinist and a buddy of mine ask if I would be able to create a deck box for him with a nice fit, snug enough that they aren’t bouncing around inside and with a secure top!

To be honest, your best bet is to have him give you his deck. For a couple reasons: 1. If you are machining a deck box, you are going to need several dimensions besides thickness. Also it will allow you to get the thickness dimension that you want. What I mean by that is, since a deck of stacked cards is compressible, you can physically deem what thickness would compress the cards in the case, yet not crush them. 2. The thickness of a single sleeved card will vary depending on the deck sleeves he uses.

Yea maybe not a bad idea as I know he’s a magic player also so maybe I can grab both decks and find a happy medium in size to house both, or even make a spacer to make up space of the decks are that different

You could also pick up a cheap deck box and pull interior dimensions from that.

or use a cheap deck box as a liner.

That’s not a bad idea either, how much are those cheap plastic deck boxes the ones that can fold flat when not in use?
