Just a heads up, I am usually understanding but I had my item on bid for 7 days and the winner decided to wait 3 days after to communicate (once I sent him/her a payment reminder) that they want to pay 11 days or so later.

Like I said, 11 days is usually not a big deal and I was going to give them a pass especially since they have good feedback but thinking, why the hell would you bid knowing you won’t be able to pay immediately or within 2 days, to me, that is bad business. Maybe if they communicated the same day they won the bid, I would be more understanding.
Most people asking for over a week delay to make payment are waiting on payday to pay you and 90% of them in my experiences will have further unexpected expenses pop up in between now and then to either delay their payment or they’ll ask for cancellation all together. I follow the preset eBay timelines for unpaid item cases and open/close them as soon as possible. It’s just not worth the hassle.
just stick to the guidelines you have set forth in your auction. These people are not friends, it is merely a business transaction where they should have adhered to the terms & conditions and not bid knowing they could not fulfill them.
That username, though. Probably a Dutch speaking person.
But yeah, rules are rules. I always pay the second I win/buy a listing, so I expect the same timely response from everyone else. 2/3 days should be more than enough time.
Thank you for your insights. Making sure im not just an asshat lol
