Did anyone get cards signed by Arita at the Malaysia TCG event?

Did anyone get cards signed by Arita at the Malaysia TCG event this weekend? How was the event? Did everything go smoothly? Also feel free to show off any cards you got signed.

I really considered going but couldn’t justify dropping $500 per card plus a $700 flight

I did, total costs were about 850 after paying for the ticket, my friend, and arita. They upcharged me at the counter despite having a ticket which they claimed were for arita’s commission fees though. I paid it regardless since i was so close

So 850 and that covered 3 sketch autos?

No. 850 per card

Dang thats crazy. At least with that price you got a sketch!

To be fair if i had went myself it wouldve been 5-600 haha

What the hell? That’s kind of shady. I calculated it out to be around 600 or 700 dollars per card including sketch.

Anyways glad you got your cards and sketches. But I am also glad I didn’t go now. It would have been a $4000 trip and then back to work the next day all tired and cranky (and feeling poor)

Edit: ahh I see you paid a friend to go for you. That’s why it seemed so much more expensive

Wow, that is expensive! To put it in perspective, a lot of MTG artists sign cards for $5-$20. Many Arita autos aren’t even selling for that on the secondary market.

Maybe this is what was needed to finally curb the rampant Arita auto flipping.

Theres a reason we picked the zards + mewtwo. The sketches sell for well over 1.5k so im fine with paying
