Was bidding on an auction tonight and was asked to confirm my method of payment before placing my bid. After winning the auction I received the following message:
Cool thing is you can pay right away like a good citizen 
Not sure if this feature just started to roll out but I think this is an overall win for sellers.
It’s been a thing on offers but this would be a game changer!
I seen this first pop up 2 months ago on auctions I won. I think they are either slowly rolling it out, or only on seller’s listings where “require immediate payment” is selected.
Seems to have started a few days ago. After winning the auction, it still gives you the option to change the payment option so no worries if you initially select the wrong one.
On discord I mentioned it was not a new feature but I was talking specifically about bin, fyi
This was a thing for me way back in the beginning of the year where my card was auto charged after winning an auction. It was honestly just a nice convenience for me but obviously huge for sellers.
Talking to my eBay rep they are sloooooowly trying to fix the non paying buyers with this feature. Problem is eBay is so huge it’ll be years before we actually see some results.
In the meantime I’ve stopped running anything of value because 25% of my auctions go unpaid.
