I’ve seen Korean vintage cards and Korean modern cards. But there’s a phase inbeteeen where I find no pictures of Korean cards whatsoever. For example, do Korean Gold Stars even exist or was the TCG temporarily discontinued there?
Umbreon gs from the 25th reprint exists in Korean if that counts
According to Bulbapedia, Korean EX sets don’t exist:
(Fun fact: EX Legend Maker was released in Chinese and didn’t have reverse holos! Source)
EDIT: Apparently EX Ruby & Sapphire was released in Korean as the “ADV”-expansion
See this thread: www.elitefourum.com/t/korean-adv-cards/14537/1And here is a video of someone opening an ADV booster box: www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcyCFQPNp5Q
Thx for the vid.The Holo pull rate looks abysmal The cards have the Japanese back, which is quite incredible on its own
Here an overview of all Korean sets/decks, focused on Pikachu releases and my personal collection.
In terms of set releases, Korean went from the Base Set, to the ADV Expansion Pack (EX Ruby & Sapphire in English), to the Korean-exclusive Start of an Adventure set in 2010, after which nine more similar Korean sets followed - and after that it mostly followed suit with Japanese for the BW/XY/SM/SwSh eras. The only other ex era Korean cards besides the ADV Expansion Pack that I’m aware of are the Treecko/Torchic/Mudkip Constructed Starter Decks, and a single 1/P Pikachu promo. Fun fact: all these Korean ex era cards have new Japanese backs, instead of their typical international backs. The Korean ADV Expansion Pack cards are also all in 1st edition, even though no unlimited edition version exists.
As for the question in your title: “Do Korean Gold Stars exist?”, nish already answered that.

Thanks for the answers, everyone! So that explains why there are no Korean OG Gold Stars on ebay. Sucks that they missed out on the greatest set ever
