Do these cases protect my card PSA card?

I want to first thank you all for posting on this matter in the past, and I learned that light can harm cards, even LED!

My question is that if I buy these cases for the PSA cards will I be able to safely and permanently display them on an LED case like this?

There are a lot of factors

  • type of light
  • light intensity
  • exposure time
  • protective material
  • material of the item

“UV protected” can mean a lot of things. 50% protection is still protection. There’s a huge difference between 95% protection and 99.9% protection. For example, if it takes 1 month unprotected to notice fading, 95% protection will take 1.6 years and 99.9% will take 83.3 years.

But notice that fading still happens. #1 thing to control is exposure time. The safest thing to do is to not put anything in light. Obviously unrealistic if you want to display something. The #2 thing is to control how much light exposure there is and the kind of light. LEDs are the best here because they emit very little of the damaging light, sunlight is the worst.

The UV protective material is an extra layer of protection and should not be relied on as the primary protection tool. Especially when were taking about rando Amazon listings manufactured by “Generic” with zero UV guarantee. Even the best UV protection will still cause fading in direct sunlight.

If you carefully control the type of light and how long it’s exposed you will likely have no issues. For extra protection, look to brands with UV protection that you can believe in and actually has a %

Thank you dearly for your words. I found a case that seems to be 100%, what do you think about this? If it’s 100%, wouldn’t it be fully protected? I plan on using a stand like in the 1st photo.

That’s a fantasy. Even the best museum-level glass is not 100% Optium Museum Acrylic® - Tru Vue, Inc

I wouldn’t believe everything you read on the internet. A lot of shady companies will make claims that aren’t tested.

Agreed. I would look into museum practices and see what they do and find whatever is the cheapest alternative with the main ingredient similar to Walgreens or Target ibuprofen compared to name brand medicine
