Hi guys, i just watched the Hadoukenido’s video on Youtube about the Snap Magikarp. At the end of it he say that Dubsy has one of the biggest collection of pokemon cards. So do we have information on him or her?

But like… what kind of info do you actually want to know? He just sounds like a guy with a decent amount of disposable income with good taste in cards. I guess this is just the Kardashian/Dan Bilzerian effect in action

A rich guy who found a new hobby doesn’t just buy a snap karp, they go into wotc and are all about the zards or if they want to feel niche they go psa 10 NRs

nish, he also has 1st ed Charizards and Lugias. He’s buying every expensive Pokemon card, including set cards and trophies.

It’s quite easy to google what the rarest and most expensive pokemon cards are these days. Heck, you can learn a lot about pokemon trophies and grails just by browsing E4 for a week or two.

Good for him for buying those cards, seems like he can afford it.

You have to be into the hobby at a bit more than the ‘im rich, buy all the zards’ surface level to even know that some extremely niche ungraded card is being auctioned off over in Japan imo

I’m not a linguist at all either, but I agree with you. Definitely some sort of accent sneaking through the modulator there…and his diction certainly seems American.

That’s not the only thing potentially linking the two. The SGC Charizard on his Instagram seems to be the same one smpratte showed off (according to SGC pop reports, there’s only 1 SGC Pristine 10 1st ed Charizard in existence), and of course the Snap Magikarp was shown off on his YouTube. It makes sense though, when you’re among the few people dealing in uber-high end trophies, you’re probably going to interact with the other people in the space alongside you lol.
