Does anyone know how sending to PWCC from overseas works in terms of customs.
Basically, i wish to send cards to PWCC but won’t they get stuck at US customs demanding import duties are paid? how is this avoided, as i am not sending purchased goods to the USA/.
Thinking about it, i send cards to PSA all the time and never have issues. can someone explain why and how customs ientified import duties are not payable?
Never had anything get stuck in us customs before besides 2 pallets of eucalyptus spray from Australia about 15 years ago. And that was due to o expiration dates on the bottles.
If you are sending out of Australia and you declare the value of the package above $2000AUD you have to get a export declaration, it’s pretty straight forward but takes time as you have to go in person to submit.
As an aside about PWCC, I would say it is almost always worth it to just sell it yourself (at least from Australian POV) consider the high postage costs plus the fee they charge from selling it would only be worth it if you are selling thousands or tens of thousands etc. You may get a higher sale price with PWCC but your costs would easily negate the premium with PWCC
Their fees are great for potentially getting top dollar on most items. Obviously you have a successful ebay store, but that’s not the case for a lot of collectors. Any card over $200 it’s roughly the same ebay/paypal fees one would pay… and then keep in mind that item would sit on ebay for a long time even if you list it at a fair price.
Yeah that’s true, I was saying more the combination of postage and fees not saying the fees. Also you will have to wait a relativley long time from the day you ship all the way to when they send you your money could be a month or two depending on auction schedule etc.
Ok i will mark the item as personal goods, tradings cards, valued at $X,000 (for insurance purposes) and post them to pwcc. I was worried id send them and then pwcc email me a week later asking to pay up for import duties. Thanks.
