year 1 was pretty interesting to me. as someone who likes a lot of the new mons, it felt like it started off strong, slowed down a bit, and then finished off strong

two of my fav SARs from the entire generation (alongside the new milotic SAR) came from the first couple of sets

These cards feel way more interesting and varied that the other poll but I also missed the other poll and took my time with this one so I may be biased.

year 2 felt like it had less bangers as the year went on for me. i found myself less excited to pick up the new set of ARs and wanting less and less of the SARs set after set (until the milotic came out)

I’m also a sucker for the sunken ship/pirate ruin aesthetic, so there’s that too.
