Announcing the E4 official meet up location!

Before I get into details I would like to thank @churlocker, @pfm @Will and @SeasidePokemon for working with me behind the scenes in order to get this event put together. There is a fair bit of work put together for these things and the guys mentioned above are all absolutely vital to the effort.
So lets get to it…
Officially announcing E4’s meet up date and location:
Saturday, August 17th 2024, 5 P.M. – 9 P.M.
ALA MOANA HOTEL
Room Ilima (just ask front desk where we are!)

In years previous, we’ve found a private room just for the members of E4 to meet, chat, trade and even open packs of cards. Typically the event is a great way to meet people and have a blast chatting about the hobby. Usually our E4 meet ups are pretty low key and just a good way to see everyone…
But this year, we decided to do things a little differently…
For the first time ever we’ll be introducing A FULL BAR!
That’s right, like to have a drink while looking at bits of shiny carboard? Then look no further as we have our own personal bartender for the entire event duration! Not into alcohol or maybe not quite old enough to drink an adult beverage? Not a problem! Other beverages will be made available as well. The drink list is as follows:
Call Brands: $13
Standard Brands: $11
Beer Imported/Domestic: $10/$9
Wine by the glass: $10
Soft drinks: $5
Juice: $5
Bottled Water: $5
Full bottles of wine, champagne and sparkling cider to be made available as well!
Please note, all prices listed do not go to E4, it’s just to cover your own drink(s).
But we didn’t want to stop there, while having a drink is great, what if you’re feeling like a snack? This year we’ll have the following snack options available right as the doors open at 5 PM:
Finger Sandwiches:
- Roast Beef
- Cucumber and Dill Cream Cheese
- Danish Ham
- Turkey Breast
- Egg Salad (or Tuna)
Additionally, a lovely bowl of Maui Style Potato Chips with Salsa
AND for dessert (served at 7PM)
- Lemon Bars
- Chefs “Famous Brownies”
- Warm, house made bread pudding
While you get a chance to chow down, don’t forget to take advantage of our lovely E4 photo frame provided by our very own @SeasidePokemon!

Take a picture with your favorite E4 friends or just take a goofy souvenir photo for yourself! Don’t forget to pick up your official E4 nametag from @pfm while getting your photo taken!
And finally, as an extra incentive for everyone who comes to our E4 meet up we’ll be handing out door prizes this year! A big thanks to @Will for helping to sponsor our prize pool! Each person who shows up will receive a door prize ticket (limited to the first 100 people).
Think that’s a really cute ticket and want to keep it as a collector’s item? Can’t blame you, we’ll be taking down names and then deciding winners randomly, so you can keep your door prize ticket in Gem Mint condition.
Winners will be announced at 8:30 PM. After winners are announced, we’ll all pile together for the E4 meet up group photo, and then call it a night!
We really wanted to go all out this year for our fellow members and thought this would be an amazing way to commemorate it. That said, it does need to be pointed out that these events are not free. Each year we are dependant on member donations to help us host and make these meet ups a reality.
For transparency, the event listed above will cost: $1,840.85. And that’s before we include the time, effort and just plain sacrifice of all the hands involved to put this together. We never charge anyone a dime to come and hang out with us, but we do ask for donations each year. This year, we are asking anyone who attends to please donate $35.00. The doors are open to anyone, should you have friends or family, both members and non-members. We don’t turn anyone away!
If you don’t have 35 dollars, or simply won’t be there, that’s okay! ANYTHING will be helpful. With the approval of staff the paypal address you can submit monetary donations to is: jason.micco@gmail.com (All donations will be going to E4 related event costs)
I have paid for this event personally out of my own pocket. It’s going to happen.
