Error Houndoom card, grossly MISCUT/ALIGNED. My find.

Holographic Houndoom. Special one! I bought this on ebay for 20$ years back, and have never come across a similar one again. Glad I got it. This particular series does not seem to have errors very much. But I may be mistaken. Wish it were in better condition, but it is really still a nice card, minor edgewear is all.

I tried to have the pictures be in the post, instead of links, but could not get it to work. Sorry!

Just use the direct image links that end in jpg or png usually.

ok I will look for that. I uploaded the pictures to my photobucket and got those web addresses/links from it.

it won’t work. Weird! And, yes, I am pasting the text into the box that pops up when I click the “Insert Image” button above.

Use the BB code not the HTML one.

I have the same miscut, except with a dark feraligatr! I wonder if both our cards were on the same sheet

That would be so cool if they were. I haven’t seen this set have cut errors much before. But I just scour ebay. I wish I had opened this from a pack myself, then it would be in better shape now. lol. I wonder if it would even grade a 7. That’s kind of why I don’t send it in. But I could just get it authenticated.

If there’s no bends or creases then it could get a 7 though maybe with a qualifier.

Definitely no creases or bends. Surface is great. Just more edgewear than I would like.

Just realized that I posted the dark feraligatr on eFour as well a few months back – the more I look at both cards the more it looks like they were on the same sheet! According to @acebren , the back was misaligned when they were gluing the backs of the cards to the fronts.

Good luck grading/authenticating the card!

I don’t want to sell mine, but I wonder what it is worth (raw/ungraded). I don’t have any other miscut cards in my possession. But I do have an early trainer card with an ink smear that looks factory imposed IMO.

It’s a Gust of Wind 93/102 card that has an ink blot on the word Trainer at the top. It isn’t really that interesting. lol

There’s a couple guys here who might collect something like that. It may be worth as much as a mint copy of the same card?
